we are the developers of a Newsfeed component, which people can put on their Joomla sites.
This component displays user-activities, and allows people (registered users) to comment on them.
These comments are posted through AJAX.
It has been verified that when AVAST is installed on a computer, the comments posted from this computer are getting re-posted after some period of time! The time of the re-post varies; after 5 minutes, 10, 20, or even after 40 minutes!!
This double-posting cannot be solved on the programming level, as AVAST posts ALL information to the server (the whole POST array)! So, we don’t know what to condition out, as everything that’s been sent to the server is completely valid and legit!
Fixes applicable on common double-posting methods do not apply, as the page is NOT being resent! Everything is handled by AJAX! And this is what makes it completely insane to understand how AVAST manages to do this!
Any help solving this will be greatly appreciated.
