Avast corrupting my downloads

Hello, I have a problem described below which I submitted to support contact form, but I received a generic answer like if it was a false positive case, which is not - the files are already in Avast whitelist and I still have this issue. And the problem is while downloading the files, before it’s complete. I hope somebody here can give a working solution.

I own a software company and this week costumers started to complaint to us that they are not being able to install our products: they always get a corrupted file message (it says the file is not a valid Win32 executable).

After days trying to figure this out, we found out that it only occurs with people who use Avast and have Internet Security enabled. I need to solve this issue and have my costumers being able to download our main products as soons as possible, these softwares are the only source of money of our company.

More than 50 costumers who pay us for our software said that this week.

If I turn off Avast, the download works immediately, so I am very sure the problem is related to your product. We got this error in Chrome and Firefox (didn’t test others).

Our files are all clean of viruses and digitally signed with an extended validation certificate.

It’s also important to notice that the download speed slowed down to about 1/10 of the regular speed when avast is on during our tests.

The files we need to work are at http://www.vbbsoftware.com/InstalarConsultorio.exe and http://www.vbbsoftware.com/InstalarEmpresarial.exe.

I appreciate your help, this problem is very urgent.

And although not in the results from VirusTotal, AVG also flags it when downloading

I know about this service, but as the results show, it’s clean on the Avast. Only a FSecure (??) antivirus gives a false positive.

I think I may have solved the problem by forcing my website to use https when downloading the file, but I used regular http for the last 10 years and never had a problem, I’ve never had to have a secure connection to make the downloads work, so I may have found a way to solve, but there is still something wrong with avast internet security and my files.

Thanks for your help.
