Avast CPU usage abnormal

i found a small issue:

the first access to the uninstall window on windows 7 generate a high resources usage 100% during the programs listing. musyt wait 1 minute+ to start using it.

after boot:

AvastSvc.exe: memory 6064k, I/O Read: 9663
AvastUI: memory 1800k, I/O R: 602

then first opening of uninstall menu (via control panel):

AvastSvc.exe: memory : peak at 54 000k, I/O Read: peak at 185 000 , cpu 100%
AvastUI: no significant change

installed the new version, still have the problem, anyone have an idea?

i found the cause : it happen when u select “all packers” in the file system shield/expert setting/packers of avast…

this should be fixed at next release

Sorry, but that’s basically the expected behavior - if you enable all the packers for the File System Shield, you shouldn’t be surprised that it slows you system down, in some cases rather heavily.
There’s a reason why these options are not enabled by default - and it’s basically not a good idea to change that, unless you know very well what you’d doing.

i know what im doing, and it slow down only this window not the others. some other security solutions dont slow it down.

Well, maybe they don’t scan the particular archives at all?
Anyway, I don’t think there’s anything to fix, sorry.

Not with the same settings. You can’t compare apples and oranges.

the only thing i see, it is that the listing of programs in the Uninstall Window uses a component that is watched by the shield. it is why i say it could be “fixed” because opening a window normally dont execute a malware (i think, im not a programmer ^^)
