Avast crashes at startup

Environment :

Windows XP Pro / SP3
Avast Free ver - 7.0.1474

I have formatted my PC and have installed Avast Free yesterday .

During startup , my PC does NOT connect to the internet directly . I have Avast streaming updates enabled .

I have been using Avast for several years.

I got a New Instance of Debugger ( see picture below ) , when I started my PC today .

The crash occurs every boot, or random? Which IE version are you using?
Are you willing to provide application crashdump? If so:

  1. Register Dr. Watson as JIT debugger by command “drwtsn32.exe -i”
  2. Run drwtsn32.exe without parameters and select “Full” crash dump type in Dr. Watson’s dialog.
  3. After next crash of AvastEmUpdate.exe, please upload crash dump to ftp.avast.com “Incoming” folder, default path of crash dump file is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\user.dmp
