avast created a 1 gig temp file?

I scanned my computer to remove temp files with Ace Utilities and it found a temp file over 1 gig 2 days ago and over 500 Megs today that avast created. Why is that? is the temp file important, or is it just my copy of avast that is doing that?

-edit- I’m running Avast Home 4.5.561 and I have Win XP Home Edition SP2

What’s the name of such big temp file ? You can delete them - but could you recognize where the file came from ? (to view inside). Thanks.

I didn’t give it a good look, but I remember seeing an underscore ( _ ) in the file name. If it comes up again i’ll give you the name, and the directory it was in.
