Avast curent version block Malwarebytes Free to load!

In the past i used Avast fast virus scan and Malwarebytes the same time.
I did this for years without any issue.
This curent version of Avast though stops Malwarebytes to load and start scan!
I had to diable Avast for 10 minutes and start Malwarebytes!
That’s it…Avast team it was a nice 7 years company but its time for me to change antivarius programme since you are making avast heavier and more problematic every update! >:(

As is documented on the Malwarebytes forum you need to exclude Avast and Malwarebytes from each other.

This may help:

I personally run manual scans periodically and don’t allow MBAM to run in the background.

I haven’t allowed MBAM 2.0 to run for a long time it became a resource hog. I had a lifetime license for three installations, but apparently that doesn’t grandfather into 3.0. So there was no way I was going to buy another lifetime license (life seems too short in MBAM  )

I’m at the point of seriously considering uninstalling it completely, but for now it is on-demand only, I haven’t excluded anything for MBAM/Avast and no conflicts.

I already dropped it a while ago…

Well this was the last straw and nudge into taking action, rather than have it sitting there doing nothing.

I now only install free MBAM and run a scan if there is a poblem, then uninstall

I don’t believe that is correct David, my lifetime license which I’ve had for several years works for 3.0

So does mine. I just don’t allow it to run resident.

Well I got my information directly from MBAM support and the email reply was pretty clear it wasn’t and I should continue using MBAM 2.0 or the free version of MBAM 3.0. I also couldn’t find anything clear on their site to say I could use my license with MBAM 3.0 hence my question to MBAM.

So that doesn’t go down well with me, when I asked a fairly clear question about using my license with MBAM 3.0.

Now it is very much water under the bridge it has been removed on all of my systems.

Lifetime license for MBAM V2 is good for V3.
How difficult would have been to try it???

I’ve always had problems with Malwarebytes 2.0 on XP. It didn’t matter whether I had Avast or Panda as my antivirus. I have no problems with the old Malwarebytes 1.75. That doesn’t clash with anything. I’d go with the current Avast, MCShield, CryptoPrevent, and the old 1.75 Malarebytes…but, as ever, it’s up to individuals to make their own choices.

Sorry but I can’t see using old software to protect me from modern malware.
