Avast delays loading MS-IE for 21 sec.

Hi

Normally I use Firefox, but sometimes I need to use MS-IE, but it’s almost impossible because Avast takes 21 seconds to load. See screen shot of MS-IE in attachment.
What’s the problem?

Are you using Zone Alarm together with Avast?

If this is so i would uninstall it cause its slowing everything down.

Yes - I am using Avast antivirus and ZoneAlarm firewall, so I don’t think it would be a good idea to uninstall one of them.

For me its using 0,17 seconds.

ZA is a joke and has been for years. Back in the XP days ZA was the best firewall. But now a days all it does it use up to 70MB of ram or more. Best to remove ZA especially since the toolbar is overlapping with avast’s web shield.
