Avast detect PointBlank again.

I thought Avast had fixed the problem with my game PointBlank, but still, when I try to install, Avast detect it. But then, when I start the program all is OK. But on my laptop, still Avast detect the exe-file as a virus. Then I don’t know what to do to solve that problem…

-= what is the name of this “exe-file”…? try checking its harmlessness in VirusTotal… http://www.virustotal.com/

It does’nt matter. Got other error-messages, so I can not play that game on my laptop. But the name is Pointblank.exe, and is already checked by VT. But since I not can play it, I don’t care.

The reason we suggest VT is to confirm or deny the detection.

If you report the findings here the URL in the Address bar of the VT results page, we see if only avast detects it and if so confirms an FP.

If it is indeed a false positive, see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=34950.msg293451#msg293451, how to report it to avast! and what to do to exclude them until the problem is corrected.

I see. But i’ve already deleted the game from the hdd, and on this com the game runs without problem.

Strange that it is OK on one computer but not the other. Presumably they are the same game version and that both versions of the avast VPS are the same.

If that is the case then it is possible that it may have been infected.
