Back again. My last avast-related BSOD’s seem fixed so this is really the first issue since then.
So for the last few days I had some internet issues (And the neighborhood, nobody on our street was able to get internet/TV or phone service for days) which now seems to be resolved, I only just found this yesterday morning.
I was running a full virus scan in the background whilst I was on This War of Mine, after a hour or so I came off and it said it picked up a virus, when it finished it came up with the name and where it’s kept, see the attached picture for reference. In the next five or ten minutes internet went down again and it’s only JUST come back, in that time I’ve ran 4 (Now 5) full scans, 2 boot-scans and it’s not picked it up again, with or without internet.
Can anybody help me here?
Edit: I’ve only ever tried to ‘move to chest’ or Fix Automatically options, I can’t seem to do anything as it says access denied.
I’ve been getting notified about that [Trj] virus since January…it comes and goes! most scans reveal clean, then like this morning after scanning last night, it shows up again. the computer does a boot scan, and brings back a clear scan. then in a few days it shows up again. frustrating. I have downloaded Malware anti-malwarebytes…which I thought Avast was the same thing…it never reveals the trojan virus. I don’t know what to do. It shows up more when I use the Avast SafeZone program. … which makes sense since its "VBS:Banker - EA [Trj]
I went to Bleepingcomputer.com and read many of their articles, looking for just one to help me with the trojan virus; I found Rkill, and Malwarebytes Ransomware. I used them. Then I read that Microsoft made a new Malicious Software Removal Tool, and found it in the Security section. I downloaded it and have used it twice, and no malware found. Yay! Also, before doing the scans, I googled trojan virus’ and found a wiki article that said to delete the current restore points on my computer. The plan is to create a new restore point when the computer is clean. So I did that too, and now its (hopefully) a clean computer with a new restore point.
