AVAST detecting svchost.exe and blocking it multiple times

Hi, I am using a brand new MSI GE702PE Apache Pro laptop, which I use for work primarily, and the laptop is just over 2 months old. However, no dodgy websites get visited or suspect flash drives get installed on this machine if I can help it.

All of a sudden, after my computer had been sitting idle and checking for Windows Updates (Windows 8.1 Single Langauge 64bit), I started getting multiple alerts / pop-ups notifying that “svchost.exe” has been blocked by AVAST.

I’ve had 12 alert pop-ups in the space of about 5 minutes, after I had switched off my machine to finalise the Windows Updates process.

The alerts still popped up after I restarted the machine, but have since quietened down.

I’ve attached a screenshot of one of the many pop-ups, that I enlarged to view.

Any idea if this is a false positive, or if I have anything else to worry about?

I don’t know if it’s a false positive, but it is also happening to me (slightly different URL) on Windows 7 x64.
This is when clicking to see what ‘important updates’ are available.

Same here.Windows Defender update - false positive.
