In windows xp when I open a folder with virus, avast is detected at the same time
When i am using windows vista when i open a folder with virus avast is not detected if i don’t run the file with virus
Why avast could not detect when i open the folder with virus in windows vista?
Are the Standard Shield settings the same in both computers?

The same thing happens here in Vista.
If you open a folder that contains a malware, nothing happens.
However, if you execute the malware file, it will detect it.
In XP, if you open a folder with malware, it will detect the file in the same moment you open the folder.
The same settings for vista and XP for standard shield.
