Hello:
Avast 8, began to alert me the execute file of the game Blasturon (blasturon.exe), as Threat: Win32:Evo-gen. I had three options: Move to chest, Delete and Block.
I clicked Block and sent a report to Avast, to prevent the file from being deleted (I think that this is a false positive).
Now I can’t open the file (Windows displays an error message, stating that the file is infected with a virus), and when scanning it with Avast, it don’t alerts anymore.
Please take care about this.
Why anyone don’t answers me?
Probably a FP, report as such. This is a sandbox alert,
polonus
This isn’t a sandbox alert, but a virus alert. I select “Block”, to prevent the file from being deleted, and check the option to send the file to Avast for analysis.
upload the file to www.virustotal.com and test with 40+ malware scanners

is your avast updated?
does it still detect the file?
you can report it here http://www.avast.com/en-no/contact-form.php change subject to suite your case
add a link to this topic in case they reply here
My Avast 8 is updated, and it still detects the file as virus Win32:Evo-gen [Susp].
I reported in the link, and changed the topic.
I don’t recieves any answer from Avast at all, after 4 days after I reported, and my Avast continue to detect blasturon.exe as as Suspicious.
this is a FP from their backend new detection technology…no sandbox detection, sandbox detection are given with “dyna” ;D
The problem is solved. Thanks.
