I am wondering if this could be some sort of a false positive warning.
I first got these types of warnings about a week ago when Avast warned me that a Trojan was found in a backup file I made for Firefox bookmarks. I deleted that file from my computer.
Since deleting the file I get a notification that a Trojan is being detected in my current bookmark files (06-17).
The extension of the files is .json which is common for Firefox bookmark files.
When I single out the file on my pc and let Avast check it for viruses, nothing comes up.
Yet every evening when shutting down my pc, the same notification pops up.
I wanted to report this as a false positive, but I want to be sure before I do this.
I would like some advice.
Anyone experiencing the same?
I have the exact same thing since yesterday. as soon as i exit from firefox, avast throw trojant alert for bookmark.
I, too, have this occurring on my system for 2 days now.
Hi i’m also getting this now, since this week every time i close my firefox my backups get sent to the Virus Chest saying its AutoIt:MalOb-BG [Trj]
start Your own topic, follow this guide and attach logs http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
we need Malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR when done help will arrive
I did one better after your rude reply, i switched from Avast to AVG and not an issue in Firefox since, i guess one less upset customer Avast has to deal with, enjoy your broken product.
Hello,
detection AutoIt:MalOb-BG [Trj] will be fixed in next VPS update.
Milos
what was rude about it. ???
telling you to start your own topic and attaching the logs so we can help you?
helping multiple users in same topic will be chaotic
anyway, as said by Milos in post above this seems to be a False positive that will be fixed in next Signature update
