Avast detects WIN32: Evo-Gen time & time again

Hi all!

My Avast notified me about a suspected rootkit file (Win32:Evo-gen [susp]) located in “Bonjour Service”. I did what it suggested, removed the threat and let it perform a scan while rebooting the computer but still the same notification would continue to appear after every scan. In addition, avast also claimed to have prevented files from being opened by wicainventory.exe (the threat was the same Win32:Evo-gen [susp]). Today was the first day when Avast didn’t report either of those previous notifications. However, it performed an automatic deepscan to another file but found nothing. Were these notifications false positive or what’s going on? Help will be much appreciated.

I ran all the programs to get the logs but aswMBR.exe crashed every time it reached a file called “Microsoft.Visualstudio.Tools.applications” and apparently it wasn’t able to finish the scan.

Regards

Simon

I believe they are both false positives. Bonjour is part of ITunes and wicainventory.exe is a recent new MS system file

Is the computer behaving itself otherwise ?
