Avast did not detect Trojan.vundo infection

Today, I had to used SpyHunter [$29] to remove trojan.vundo, which is a serious threat. It was detected by Ad-Aware, which couldn’t remove it. My PC was infected while Avast was running…and I was also “protected” by Spyware Blaster.

As Trojan.Vundo has been around for some time, why can’t Avast defend against it?

Any comments?

Thanks,

Louis

Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.
Thanks for helping improving detection.
