avast did not make virusbulletins 100% score? IT FINALLY DOES!!

Hi was wonndering why avast has not met Virusbulletins 100 % score?
you can red about it at the following links=
1.http://www.virusbulletin.com/vb100/archives/tests.xml?200402

2.http://www.virusbulletin.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?avist.xml

Was just courious since I really like using AVAST ,The test history shows a lot of times AVASt did not make 100%?

I will still keep on using AVAST myself although I am somewhat confuesed by the above test’s.

Yeah its true,but not totaly…
Win2003 Server had some small error and Virusbulletin staff didn’t ask Alwil team how to use Avast! correctly (something like this, ask one member of Alwil or search for that Topic),for NT i don’t know exactly.

Most important is that it passed on Windows XP platform which is widely used. Who use Windows NT anyway if you can have much better Windows 2000.

Check the Norton and you’ll see that it has better PASS/FAIL ratio, but we all know the Norton is the most terrible antivirus,so don’t take these results as 100% reliable.

From what I gather on the second link I provided, the last time avast passed xp test’s 100 %was June 03 Alwil avast! 4.0 Professional 4.0.208
the version I am using is home user 4.1.342 Jan 04

Is there a difference? ???
I noticed Although they apparently haven’t tested , home user 4.1.342 Jan 04 yet?
like I stated b4 avast still Rocks in my opinion…

You can read about the last comparative “problems” here.

The latest news (from the last week) is that they promised to retest the on access scanning, so we will see…

Pavel

;D

At last!!!

Congratulations!

Thumbs up

Polymorphic engine needs little work. Everything else looks good to me…

tECHNODROME

Polymorphic engine needs little work
what do you mean by that?

Improved detection for complex polymorphic viruses is what I meant. Current detection is highly acceptable, but there is always room for improvement.

tECHNODROME

True there is always room to improve.
Good Work Pavel, Vlk

Great job AVAST
