Avast!disabled my internet and all Real-Time Shields [3rd ATTEMPT]

First, here’s my original post → http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=110866.0;topicseen

And here’s my second post → http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=119432.msg919628#msg919628

I’m really going to give this my last go before I just take it into a shop.

Basically, I was prompted to run a Boot-Time scan which i complied with, but once the scan was
complete and my computer had restarted, my Local Area Connection
for my internet had been disabled(if it makes a difference,i use an Ethernet cord).

i’ve contacted both my ISP and Avast! about the issue. My ISP checked the connection
and even rebooted it, but the internet works for other computer systems in my home, all except for this one (my desktop)
Avast! said they could come and reset everything, but it requires me to spend copious amounts of money, which I know for
a fact is not necessary.

To conclude, my Avast! information is telling me “the following components could not be started:
Mail Shield, IM Shield, P2P Shield, File System Shield, Web Shield, Script Shield, Behavior Shield,
Network Shield” and I’m really unsure of what to troubleshoot, what to check,
or where to go to fix this because I have no idea what caused or is continuing to cause this.

if someone could just point me in a helpful direction please, I’d be forever grateful.

Thanks!

Well, I think at this time the better would be uninstalling avast, rebooting, installing again and rebooting.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling it more than 3 times already.

I suggest an installation from scratch:

  1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
  2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
  3. (Optional) If you want, save your avast! settings for later restoration (Settings > Maintenance > Back up).
  4. Uninstall avast! from Control Panel (if possible) and reboot.
  5. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1 in and follow the instructions. Reboot in Normal mode after that.
  6. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Register your free copy or add the license key for the paid versions. Boot.
  7. Check and post the results.

Please, be patient, boot when it’s said to boot…

I mean, i’ve tried on 3 separate occasions to reinstall it. But i’ll give it another go tomorrow.

in the other posts, some one suggested that my tcicp.sys file was missing.

avast! Firewall also offers a Fix Network Stack tool.
Or, I hope some of these helps:

Still tried, but to no avail. I don’t know what the problem is, so I’ll just have to take my computer in.
