What´s that? It is assumed that it should only detect viruses, but it blocks my downloads of programs that AVAST consider old. I’ve had to disable it whenever I download one of these old versions of programs that in some cases are better than the last ones. How on earth can I disable this stupid AVAST function? Thank you for any help. 
Since you don’t say how exactly it “blocks” them, what it reports, what you’re actually downloading, from where etc… it’s hard to say anything.
