I recently installed Avast on recommendation of a friend.
The application appears to function as it should other than the fact that it does not inform recipient that the mail has been scanned by this virus detector. I know the program is in fact scanning outgoing mail as I see the Avast logo in running mode over the IncrediMail logo in my tray. Also, when checking “properties” in a message I sent myself, I read where Avast has indeed scanned same.
I have inserted “clean message” text in POP,SMTP and IMAP as instructed without any success. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks

- What OS are you/they using?
If you are looking for it in the sent items folder, then you won’t see it (if it is the same action as OE); avast adds it to the out going email, but not to the copy sent to your sent items folder.
Have you sent a test email to yourself to confirm this.
About the clean notes into the message body, can you try ‘Settings’ on my signature?
UseAlternateRtfSyncing value under [MailScanner] section:
Another mechanism for inserting notes into the body of emails in Microsoft Outlook. RtfSyncing is concerned with Rich Text Format. In emails, the user typically save both Rich text (HTML) and plain form of message. When you modify one type of message, RTFSync is the right function to synchronize text of message to the second form. Disable = 0.
