avast does not remember window size

when I maximize avast window, the window size does not stick…meaning it is reset to almost maximized when rebooting…If I remember correctly it also reset when coming back from hibernate/sleep

this is annoying, because sometimes I may be closing another program than avast when moving my mouse button all the way to the top right corner to close avast

would it be possible to make avast remember to be maximized at all times?

im using 7.0.1426 on windows 7

+1 for this suggestion
Better if it can remember any window position and size.

yeah

agree with this suggestion

Sorry if I’m mentioning something that’s already common knowledge. But I didn’t see it in the thread, so I thought I’d add it to the discussion.

Unfortunately you’ve run into the biggest PITS problems with Window7, it doesn’t have the “Remember each folders settings” option like in XP. If you change the size or position on the desktop of a folder every folder you open after thAt will have the same properties, unless you change it Then every folder you open after that will have those properties. This is one of those problems that at first doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when you start using Win7 on a daily basis becomes a huge pain. But there is a fix!! Early in the roll out of Win7 somebody much smarter than me wrote a little program called “ShellFolderFix” that loads on boot and remembers folder settings. Its free and made the problem manageable for me.

You’ll find the program at:
http://www.sevenforums.com/customization/40916-shellfolderfix-manage-folder-window-positions-size.html
Also works in Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
Comes in very handy when hooking up to a remote screen totally messes up your desktop items.
(Something that happens to me very very often.)

was hoping the avast developers woud notice this topic and maybe fix it in 7.0.1451, but they have not…
it cant be that hard to fix?!

If we change the language, all windows sizes are lost

I don’t know if that would be intentional on the part of avast! or not as different language translations take up different lengths so window size might crop the text.

Ok, but then let the window bigger and not reduce it all the times…
