avast don't write report file

Hi,
I include Avast in Anomy Sanitizer that is invoked by a postfix filter script.
All is ok but when i add -r myfile.log avast don’t write anything in it.
Why?
(When i run that script manualy report file was writing.)
Thanks

Hi,
the problem may be in accessing avastrc file, if you use avast binary from avast4workstation package. Because avast reads the file from user’s home directory when it is starting. I suppose Anomy Sanitizer does not run under your username, so avast exits because it cannot find ~/.avast/avastrc file.
I suggest to use avastcmd file from avast4server package instead. The binary is designed to be used for this purpose.

Hi,

Thanks for your reponse, but i corrected that problem before.
I have made a /var/avast directory and put in the 400.vps and avastrc files.
I have made symlinks in homes directories (.avastrc → /var/avast) and /var/avast/* is write protected but readable for all users.
When i login to user “myuser” (with su -l mysuser) and run avast, all was OK and the report file was created but when it is executed in postfix with anomy no report file.

Regards

Hi,

i have tried the avastcmd from avast4server package but again there is no report :frowning: . And avast make anomy sanitizer truncates files ??? . When i use other antivirus software all is ok. Only avast don’t work
So what is the solution?
Thanks

I’ll take detailed look

Ok thanks in advance.
Can you alert me when it’s fixed because for the moment i disable avast from my scanner.
Thanks again.

How did you do this? I’m trying to set up, but can’t get it to work. Thanks, Dave.
