Avast Driver Updater cannot update my PCI Express Root Complex 5.0.4.43

Hello,
Avast Driver Updater cannot update my PCI Express Root Complex.
Avast Driver Updater, shows PCI Express Root Complex 5.0.4.43 (released May 10,2017) the latest driver for this.
It is a MTECH M8800 Laptop I bought it on 12/9/2014.
It came with OS Windows 7 64 bit but now it has OS Windows 10 64 bit.
Can anyone show me how I can get Avast Driver Updater to update my PCI Express Root Complex for me?
Have a good day.

You aren’t alone. When you select to update it winds up as Skipped. Wait for Avast to reply. Probably on Monday.

Hello,
Yes, You are right it marks it as skipped.

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed Avast Driver Updater (today) from here (https://www.avast.com/download-thank-you.php?product=DRW&direct=1)
Currently showing as version 20.1 (build 707).
I managed to update PCI Express Root Complex.
Could you try to update it again?

As you can see, it isn’t working for me.

Hi guys, not sure if it helps, but I got updated to build 720 today.

Thanks for the follow up. The version update happened but the driver update still isn’t working.
Still ends up as skipped after selecting update.

Hi,

When you click on “Skipped” > do you see the option/button “STOP SKIPPING”?
Also, after having clicked on “Skipped”, can you click on “Driver versions” (take a screenshot, please) and then click on “Skipped update” or “Update”
Restart your PC.

If it still does not work, then please post the “Driver versions” screenshot and support package id here.

The last screenshot was what I again ended up with after having selected stop skipping and then again doing the update. It goes right back to not actually updating but back to the skipped state.

Please disregard the Video Driver I updated that myself.
My Root Complex still is being skipped & yes I have tried several times to update with no success.

Hi,

Could you please provide me with a support file id.
To generate the support file, please see this link.

Sorry, I needed to roll back to a prior day due to other problems with Avast.

Hey I want you to see this detailed image of my skipped driver.

I am thinking that I might have to roll back my OS for the driver updater to work for this driver?
Screw it I am gonna do it anyway.

My rollback had nothing to do with the driver updater.

Okay Thanks I will wait for what Avast has to say then.

Hi,

We would need some logs.
To generate the support file, please see this link.

Hello Avast,
I have sent you the support file you asked me for & I am still waiting to hear from you.
Please let me know what I need to do in order to get this driver updated asap.

BUMP

If you sent the support file, posting the File ID of the file you uploaded here would help them associate it with this post.

Hi,

The driver was blocked, and effectively from the 25th, you should not have this issue any longer.
If you have Avast Driver Updater version 20.1.720, you have restarted your PC, did a re-scan in Avast Driver Updater, but you still face this issue,
then please generate a support file and paste the support File ID here or send it to me via PM.
Also, please attach a screenshot of what you see.
