Avast EasyPass will not Sync. Connecttion error 404: Timed out

Good afternoon everyone,

 For some reason, Avast EasyPass will not connect (Sync).  After about 15 seconds, a message is displayed which states Avast EasyPass cannot connect with the Internet site: [b]404, Timed-out[/b].  This happened a couple of times yesterday, but the connection was finally made.  Not so today, despite several attempts in the past hour.  AV & anti-malware scans are negative for malware.

Anyone else experiencing this problem or have a solution for it?

UPDATE: It appears there was perhaps a server glitch, as EasyPass is now Syncing properly once again when I tried this morning.
