Avast email message

Hi,

I have just installed Thunderbird on a new laptop for my email and have the following Avast message added at the end of mail I send.

This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active.

The problem is it is being added twice so can some one tell me how I can prevent the extra one from happening.

try avast repair

contolpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot

any change ?

Sorry Chief I sent a test email to myself and it is still puting 2 on it,

I may have worked it out it adds the message outbound then inbound, as I am testing it to and from myself that could be the reason it is there twice.

that would explain it … you may test sending from another mail account.
