I’m me@me.com. Anyone recognize the sender address? The subject line had “Avast! 4” in it. Or did Avast put that in the header subject line?

Avast deleted the rest of message.

culpeper,

I do not recognize the header but if Avast deleted the message, then it wasn’t good to open anyway.

I believe that when Avast takes action on a message, it does insert its’ own signature (name) into the message so you will realize that Avast intercepted it.

Don’t ya just love Avast!

Take Care,

Hi Culpeper,

Strangely, I have had some dealings with the Mannheim Uni (un-related) and as far as I know, they are a reputable organisation.

Why not send a report to their abuse/webmaster if it was a genuine header?.

Thanks Walker…, quite good suggestion 8). Anyway, I do not know who is the sender and what the company does… ::slight_smile:
Culpeper, as you are ‘old’ here, I suppose you know how to change the behavior of avast with body messages…

Yeah, I liked what Avast did as far as taking care of the message. My guess is is that Avast replaced the subject line and body of the message and turned it into a report of some type.

Hmm, that’s quite unlikely… As far as I know avast doesn’t do anything like that… Maybe it was a well-crafted spam…? Anyway avast took care of the mail automatically? Or it asked you a question…?

Thanks
Vlk

Yeah, it asked to delete. Probably Byran986 stalking me :o
