Avast Emergency Update Process Showing in Windows 10 Task Manager

Hi There

Haven’t rebooted lately since fully configuring my new AMD FX Eight Core Processor, anyways looked at Task manager just now, and Avast Emergency update is showing, so far hasn’t gone away like it used to on my older system? Do I need to restart the system so it applies?

As far as I’m aware this is also a Scheduled task, it runs it to check for the presence of an emergency update. If your quick after boot and check the task manager you may see it, but equally so it should close relatively quickly after checking.

On my system it is there for a very short time after boot, but if it is there on your task manager then the scheduled task must have run for it to be there. You shouldn’t have to reboot to remove it, so I don’t know why it is there still.

Finally Disappeared after about 10 minutes, last reboot was think last night after a program updated, then over night did some video encoding, and today just gamed, listened to some tunes, and happened to check task manager, as wanted to check something, and noticed it
