Every time Avast program updates, no matter automatically or manually, this scheduled task appears (if not present or deleted) in Windows Scheduled Tasks folder with the following settings:
C\WINDOWS\Tasks\avast! Emergency Update job
Run: “C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\AvastEmUpdate.exe”
Run as: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Enabled (scheduled task runs at specified time)
- Every 12 hours from xx:xx for 24 hours; starting xx/xx/2012
Who schedules this? Why Emergency? Update of what? Why these settings? Why not related to the setting from the program interface?
