My WinPatrol app advised me this AM that there is an emergency update from Avast that wants to install itself to my Windows Start-up routine as a RunOnce item, ands needs me to allow or deny the change. What is trying to run from Start-up is “410f305d_e249_43be_bc27_29fe054f1574.exe” I can’t find anything about this at the Avast site, so I’d like some expert advice whether to allow this or not. Can someone tell me about the 'emergency update" that requires this to be run. Also, why would Avast name this executable with a completely unintelligible name? Thanks.
I can’t offer any reasoning but I can say that this appears to be normal as it’s being seen by everyone.
The name appears to be a GUID (“Globally Unique ID”), which is a possible way to make sure the same name is not used on every computer. Perhaps that’s prudent in the war against malware that would seek to circumvent Avast’s protection.

Hi ,
have a look here
It’s a legitimate avast process so allow the change, it searches and applies fixes needed for the correct functionality of avast.
