avast endpoint protection suite

buongiorno
grazie

good morning
in the company where I work we have installed in the last 2 years Avast Endpoint protection suites and a few days clients who like Windows XP operating system no longer receive updated virus definitions quoting as an error "Not enough memory to run the command ".
I repeat that the error occurs only on machines running Windows XP and on machines running Windows 7 operating normally.
It may depend on what?
thank you

From AVAST Support Team:

"Hmmm, unfortunately there isn’t much I can do as there is a confirmed bug with XP machines mainly and a the mirror from the console can not push the new VPS to the client. The issue will get fixed in the update but thats still about a month away due to the delay in the consumer release.

Now, I know this is going to be a pain for your customer and if we can do anything else to rectify the issue, especially on a size this big we would but there is no other way around it and other customers with even larger sizes than this created a script to run on these machines manually to push the vps update since they can no longer receive the update from the mirror nor can they update directly manually on the client.
There is no other solution, no fix and the workaround is as a described.

On the troubled machines please download the vpsupd.exe on those machines and it should fix the issue for the short term and later next month when the new Program update for Endpoint and console will be released which will resolve the issue for all machines along with fixing some other small minor bugs.

You can download the file below. **Please be sure to disconnect those XP machines from the default group so they do not receive any automatic updates which will undo the fix. We should have this issue resolved with the upcoming program update.

http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/vpsupd.exe

The reason for this tool is to delete all previous VPS files from avast and it enables the client to download new ones so it should remove the problem with not enough space.
The erorr message issue should not return. Not enough storage means that internal storage in avast is full - this storage is used to unzip package vps updates, vpsupd tools automatically deletes all stored files and rewrites them with latest ones. So that means the old ones should be deleted and this way makes a free space for the next ones.
Create a script for this to run manually each day."

Same issue; a couple of work-arounds posted/discussed, and my latest update on the trouble ticket I’ve had open with Avast! since September 4th telling us that the “update” that is supposed to fix this issue is delayed for an indeterminate length of time due to the Avast! Consumer Edition being given priority over the Enterprise Edition.

Troy

I’ve been getting this story for a while now. Which month is this update coming out and how are we going to be notified of the update? I was told to disable the automatic updates, however was never told when the update problem will be corrected, other than at the end of the month…
