A user gets the following Avast error message: avast! : Cannot scan the message body. Error code is 80004004.
Unspecified error in AAVM module. AavmCheckFile failed.
The user is on an HP 6730b laptop, using Win XP Pro OS.
They’re up-to-date on their Program update (current version 4.8.1061) and Vps is also (current version 101109-1)

They're up-to-date on their Program update (current version 4.8.1061) and Vps is also (current version 101109-They are not up-to-date on the program, so i would try installing latest version and see if that will fix it....
the version installed 4.8.1061 is very old, the latest released 4.x was 4.8.1368. But support for the 4.x will end with this year
