Avast exception list isn't working

I need to install MSYS2 to build an open-source project. The installer (though downloaded and validated from official source) is getting blocked even when added as an exception. Once installed, the executables inside the folder (C:\msys64) are blocked as well, even if the entire folder is added into exception list.

How could I make Avast do what I want? Avast Support isn’t responding, I really regret buying this stuff.

Avast Premier: 18.5.2342 (build 18.5.3931.338)

You can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

There are dozens, if not hundreds of executables. Do I really need to do this for all of them?

Report the main executable and explain it in your request.

I don’t mean to be nitpicking, but isn’t ignoring the exception list a bug? What’s a point of it if Avast ignores it?

+1 to your post. Suggesting to report a false positive is obviously begging the question.
But, what I can suggest, is to disable Behaviour Shield and see if it is the “culprit”. The most troublesome component of avast, in my opinion. I only use (old school) web shield, system shield and mail shield.
