I had installed avast on win7, but have moved on to win10 recently. Because of this, programs installed on 7’s partitions are not considered installed by 10. I know the avast’s localisation on disk, my question is, what is the name of the executable used for the whole app. There’s plenty of .exes in the directory and I can’t tell what they are used for.
avast will not work if not installed properly.
You need to install it under Windows 10 to work.
The easiest fix is a clean install of Avast:
