I’m trying Avast on my LAN, and discovered that ‘Network Protection’ don’t work with Windows 98. And Avast don’t recognize ‘msupdate.exe’ (virus classified by Norton like "protoride worm).
Since I have 15 PC with windows 98; and will use Avast because I like this antivirus, the question are:
The Professional version is capable to enable Network Protection on W98 machines?
Why the resident protection of Avast (updated regularly) don’t recognize this ‘old’ trojan? The defense is demanded only to “Network protection” module?
the network sheild module is available only in NT-based systems only such as windows 2000/xp/2003.and if avast doesnt recognize a virus send the file in a password protected archive to virus@avast.com
