Avast False Positive on Roblox player

Greetings Forum Friends ;D

I was about to go on my account on roblox and play a game on there and the roblox player was trying to update and avast went crazy.
It had 6 popups listing them as [Susp] It had blocked Robloxlauncher.exe. The download for the installer of Roblox causes alerts as well. hxxp://www.roblox.com/Download is roblox malware or is avast just list it as unsafe by mistake?

It seems the issue was fixed. Installing roblox now doesn’t give any alerts. I’m guessing it was fixed?

This is happening right now for me so unless there is something I need to do, it is not fixed. Just updated avast today. And it is still happening. What do I do? I cant even uninstall roblox. Avast stops it.

i have just posted in a different area to bring this problem up also. is there a fix yet? (i should have browsed the forum first).

i dont know what to do, if the computer is infected… or not… and how on earth to make it possible for roblox to launch successfully … i hope someone can help. i will be watching this thread with interest

Click on report as false positive and fill up the details. You can also email them virus at avast dot com

Subject as “False Positive” with out quotes.

Another way is by going to Avast Support Ticket via here https://support.avast.com/ On the left hand side click on Avast Virus Labs. Remember this, once you submit a support ticket about a false positive. It can take 5-7 days for a reply back. DON’T reply back to your own support ticket or it will be pushed back into the line. First come first serve basis. So be patience.

have have emailed both roblox and avast. hopefully we can get this issue resolved as its causing no end of stress here. (my son is autistic and playing roblox is part of his routine/life). I also discovered that the roblox launcher in your add remove programs are (control panel) is an empty file. when i tried to remove it (with the intention of reinstalling it) it said it had already been deleted so whatever avast did with the file included getting rid of it so without the installer the games wont load. (obviously). can you all check your files for robloxinstaller and let me know if yours say the same thing ?

Yes it did say the same thing, to fix this go to th e virus chest and click restore on the robloxlauncher.exe

Edit: I scanned it just now minutes after it got moved to the chest by avast… It now says --no virus–…

All these results, that Pondus gave, clearly denote a false positive.
As the VT results already stated, results possible harmless.
