Why is Avast so bad in terms of false positives. I had codex which is an official Microsoft store app made by a trusted company(openai) fixing up one of my databases for me, then out of nowhere Avast blocks codex, sends it to quarantine, prevents me from restoring codex and doesn’t even let me redownload it from Microsoft store. I have now lost most of the data from my database and I am currently attempting to recover it. Best of all Avast did this in the worst way possible so now codex is burning through my subscription while it just sits in quarantine. Avast needs to get with the program and stop flagging AI apps as viruses. Honestly I’m about to uninstall Avast. I was considering upgrading to premium since it did seem like a good antivirus but it just caused one of the biggest fuck ups and costed me a shit ton of money.
