I opened the rune scape client and avast detected a Infection: HTML:script-inf.
When i go on www.runescape.com it blocks the advertisements as malicious are they really malicious? My avast is going crazy!

can anyone confirm that their is an infection on runescape? which is a legit game…

runscape is a well known game… i doubt if they got something to do with this.
it may be a fp, send avast a false positive sample-or in your case, tell them about the site (i will try to find the link if you want).
just to make it clear, its the adv, so there’s a chance that the company which’ve made this adv got something which isn’t legit.
just avoid this site for now, or download firefox and install the no-adv addon, and you won’t be disturbed by this issue.

Well i really hope avast will fix it… it’s annoying trying to play a game and it is constantly detecting false positives.
I have just been there with no alerts - update to the latest vps and try again

No alerts on that site either, VPS version 110321-1.

essex everything is up to date an i am still getting virus warning on www.runescape.com
just tried it myself and no alerts for me
