I have two laptops in my home network connected via wifi.
One laptop is running Avast Firewall(latest version). My problem is that I can not access the files(shared via windows file sharing) of laptop (running avast firewall). When I try to access \192.168.2.3(avast firewall laptop ip) via other laptop, it never reaches the laptop and seems inaccessible. But as soon as I turn off the avast firewall, I can access the files and everything works as expected.
How can I add exception/rules to this is avast firewall?
thanks for message. I’ve seen the link you provided, but I am not sure what application am I using, since I just paste the IP address in other laptop ‘Run’ window. If firewall is ON, i get network computer is inaccessible. If firewall is OFF, i can access shared files.
Also I’ve added ‘packet rule’ named ‘local tablet’ as follows opening local port 445. But I still can not access. I’ve also tried using empty ‘Address’ field but no effect.
