Avast Firewall Error! - Cannot be Installed

I tried to install Avast Premier on top of the updated AIS 8, just to see and I used my License key for AIS, it then downloaded AIS 8.0.1481 which was the RTM build. It didnt update to the new one even when I tried to update manually so I had to uninstall it and install AIS 8.0.1482 again. It then says 'failed to install Avast Firewall Driver" or a similar error message and opens up a debug dump which I have attached.

I tried to repair it but it still wont install the firewall. Also I noticed a small glitch, see attached image.

A screenshot of the error. I tried using aswclear and reinstalling but still get the same error.

Uff finally managed to sort it out… after reinstalling like 15 times!

Can you please maybe share with us what exactly you did in order to get the problem resolved?

Since it was an issue with the drivers, I opened Device Manager and under network adapters there was something called ‘Avast NDIS Miniport’ or something which had an exclamation mark " ! " and I uninstalled it and then I ran the installer again, over the existing software and after I restarted, it worked fine. :slight_smile:
