Avast Firewall issues

Hi,

Can anyone explain how to turn on my avast firewall? The option is available but it will not turn on.
I keep having a blue screen issue and have run windows defender and a cleaner application as well as Avast scans.
No virus or malware have been detected!
Could all this be related??

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot

Repair avast!:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.
