sometimes i get avast firewall notifications blankly, only blue colour box pops shows up for 20 secs and goes off… even the pin and close buttons of this pop up doesnt work at this time…
i have kept auto decide option for firewall.as of now it allows all my programs to access internet.i hope it will block some applications too…and if it blocks a much needed application,i need to disable firewall during that situation alone… thats y i need to keep “notify” option in firewall rules…
anybody help me to make this process easy ??? ??? ???
The popups should not be completely blank. Try a Repair in the Control Panel. If that doesn’t work, then try a clean install.
There is no reason for the firewall to block trusted applications. Application Rules are only created for known programs (rules are created based on the whitelist/blacklist, and heuristic checks). On auto-decide mode, for unknown programs, it allows by default but blocks suspicious connections.
In that case, you could just modify the rule, instead of disabling the firewall…
