Current Avast Premier version 17.3.2291 - virus definitions version 170420-10
Using Window 10 64bit
Netgear Nighthawk R7000
As i understand this problem; apparently my router is doing a portscan and is therefore blocked by the avast firewall. (IP4 of router is logged by firewall as blocked for portscanning)

If i switch off detect port scan in avast firewall, the admin page works fine.
Brother MFC-J6935DW
Avast portscan also blocks this printer (we only use this as a printer via pc, it scans to NAS share (still works!). So only printerdriver is installed on pc). The printer is stated as offline, while it is not. (IP4 & ip6 of printer is logged by firewall as blocked for portscanning)
I tried turning off all unused protocols (by us) on the printer, to shutdown the part that was doing the portscan, to short lasting effect. Printer is offline again according to Windows/Avast firewall.
My question(s)
[ol]- I would like to have portscan enabled & have an accessible router admin page & printer, is there a solution? A work around
- When did this change/became avast firewall so aggressive?[/ol]
Ps. everything has the latest firmware, i double checked!
Pps. multiple pc in network which all have the same troubles.
Ppps. NAS & internet is working fine
