Avast Firewall Preventing AirPlay

This issue - my being unable to use Airplay to direct iTunes through to my Minx 200 speaker - has come up before but I’ve been able to rectify it by disabling Avast AV Firewall and enabling Windows Defender.

Windows 10 (to which I was introduced today) won’t allow me to enable Windows Defender because it believes Avast already has a firewall in place. This is despite the fact that I have uninstalled the Avast firewall component on the understanding that it would allow me to enable Windows Defender.

So if I want to play music through my Minx 200 I will have to make do without a firewall in place.

Any suggested solutions?

I gather that there is a way to configure the Avast firewall so that it will allow the iTunes music to flow through to the Mix 200 speaker, but can someone help me as a novice with guidance on how that can be achieved?

Thanks.

Thanks, Pondus.

Is your Firewall mode set to Private and have you enabled Internet Connection Sharing mode via Settings > Firewall?
