Avast firewall 2014.9.0.2016
Windows 8.1 Update 1 - Clean install.
Avast firewall Shield causes boot to hang at desktop for over a minute. Does not let any other programs start.
If firewall shield is disabled, has no problem booting. Once firewall Shield is turned back on. Hangs at boot again.
Using default settings - auto answer for program permissions.
I have tried Offline and online installs.
Any ideas?
By hang I mean totally stops anything else from loading.
Loads the desktop and hangs, Cant load task manager.
After a minute or so then task manager appears and i know its got past its hang.

Update avast from 2016 to beta 2014.9.0.2017
That should have been more clear somewhere rather then in beta.
