Avast firewall + utorrent freezes computer

Hi guys,

This is my first question here, and if i posted topic in wrong section, please feel free to move it to section where it should be.
I`m Avast user for quite a while. 5-6 years for sure, if not more. Version 4.6 or something like that.
Since that days many computers that i service changed to Avast, since i was quire satisfied with your product.

Question that i have is one that i see is frequently asked, and i see many people still have same problem.
Whenever i download something by utorrent, my computer freezes, audio starts to brake up, and cpu for utorrent process is spiking.
Utorrent is unchecked in P2P settings, and i tried to configure firewall/application rules, but everything that i did, any settings, every variation…no results.
Only option is to stop firewall, and then in that moment, everything goes perfectly.
I`ve tried even to configure utorrent it self but nothing.

Generally i understand what is the problem, and i can see that there is no easy solution for this by avast.
Is there any workaround solution that can help?
Any option to completely ignore utorrent and all connections/downloaded files?
I know that is not wise, but if there is any solution, it would be great, since i download quite often, and many of that files are malware free, and safe.

Same thing happened on Avast free, and on AIS that i use right now.
My PC:
CPU: intel i3
RAM: 16 gigs
HDD: system is on 64gigs SSD, and one TB storage disk
…so i don`t think that is problem with my weak configuration.

Any ideas?
Any solutions?
Any suggestions?

Thanks for any reply.

Regards, and keep up with great work that you do!

Stay safe…stay Avast

Can’t say anything about AIS and its firewall, but with the Free version, which of doesn’t include the firewall, I don’t see anything wrong when I using torrent. I just tried downloading Ubuntu with utorrent 3.3.1 and it works like normal.
