I’m looking for a free firewall,and I wonder if avast could prepare a good free/by charge for costumers.
If anyone has an idea please tell me if you used a firewall and it fits you.

A Firewall from Avast! is planed (probably just as part of a suite ???) and should be released at the end of the first half of 2009 or (which is more likely) in the second half of 2009.
This for sure will be the best one on the market

Actually there are some quiet good and free ones, but I’m not a specialist for that… I just use the Vista- or Seven-Firewall 
But there already are some topics in this forum about this i think…

Firewall is in the works, although there is no release date for it, how it’ll look and what features will it have.
No info if it’ll be free or payable only either.
[i]Depending on your operating system; you might try Sygate… The free version is still available at Filehippo and has worked well for me on both my WindowMe and Windows XP Pro boxes… The downloadable version is 5.6.2808. Symantec bought out Sygate some years back and lord only knows what they’ve done to it so go with the free version I mentioned.
I’m sure that when Avast! releases a firewall it will be a quality product since they will release no product before it’s ‘bullet proof’…[/i]
Avast should make a firewall coz others are too complicated (COMODO firewall, Zone Alarm etc) or too simple (Windows firewall or ashampoo firewall)
