avast for mac - Red cross and message: cannot connect to service

Since this AM Avast is not working. I see a a Red cross when i start Avast and a message: cannot connect to service

Any solutions?

Mac OS 10.9.5
Avast 10.14

Done some more research. See pictures. Still not solved though.

thanks for the report. The latter is a side effect of non-functioning service. And non-functioning service is really problem. Could you please create a support package and provide it to us? You can find it in application’s menu:

Help >> Avast Technical Support >> Generate support package

You may then post the package to me as a private message her on the forum and I will analyze the issue.

I went to Avast WEBforum » Personal Messages » New Message, but can see nowhere how to send the file to you. What am I doing wrong?
