Uninstalled Norton so I could install Avast. Full system scan by Avast gave me 9 infected files, all of them having to do with aol mail, and 8 warnings, 4 of which also have to do with aol mail… Norton didn’t come up with any of them when I scanned yesterday. Kind of scary 
Anyway, in the past as I’ve used Norton it has isolated files and asked if I want the program to try and fix (clean, I guess) them. Avast moved my infecteds into the virus chest without any such offer.
So, what now? Is it safe to delete files from the chest? I don’t want them out of the chest and still on the computer, I want them gone. Does deleting them from the chest put them back where they were, or does it get rid of them from my Mac permanently? I understand they can stay in the chest safely, but I just don’t want them around, period. Any words of wisdom would be greaty appreciated
