all of the anti virus!(example : Kaspersky & bitdefender ) have metro user interface and special programme for metro(also win8)
I thought the version 8 of this program might have metro app!

And Avast’s UI is one of the best IMO …
PS: That new V8 brings many new pro active detections which are dramatically improving it this is what an AV needs not a metro UI.

I suggest you browse the forums as one of the biggest complaints is the Metro style interface and that is only one page the Home page. So feelings are very much against a metro style interface.
This is just one such topic http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=116287.0 and that one isn’t meant to be about the UI but avast 8 in general.
