Just take care if you’re using Vista beta version.
avast is not yet compatible with Windows Vista.
But with Windows XP 64bits no problems.
Oh, avast was the first antivirus that works with 64bits version 8)

I am a Windows Vista BetaTester using 64bits version and I am expecting Avast version compatible with Vista. If you need, I can test the new Avast version.

The latest version (4.7.844) should be fully compatible with Vista.
