Yes, it’s difficult to get a connection with the Avast Forum 
very difficult :-[
Finally got logged in without “losing the secure connection” after many hours.
Edit: Extremely slow however

Also saw while the forums were down strange link-redirecting website like
→ links dot giveawayoftheday. dot com/forum dot avast dot com
and smilar like → pressaboutus etc tudonoticia dot org/tag/avast-forum version in the search ranksings,
when trying to reach out for the real forums.
Is that what played in the background kind of a concerted attack?

Well, the forum is reachable again, but almost unusable due to constant connection resets.

I also noticed strange sites as a result of my google search for “avast forum is out”, which had nothing to do with my advanced search.
I don’t know if it’s just me but it’s already been 2 or 3 months that I’m encountering these problems of access on the avast forum, probably less intensive than yesterday or even today,but randomly occurring.

second time trying to post, crashed last time.
For me it has been a giant pain in the backside all day, some times I would get on, open a topic, reply but failed to post and got tons of Secure connection failed, etc.
I found out that this was caused by a Forum failed security update and the Software Authors (SMF) have/had to do something about it.
All in all yesterday/today it has taken well over 12 hours to get anything like a stable period.
During that time I checked out this frequently.

And it failed to post on this reply, so it still isn’t stable, unable to post.
Back to try again 10am over 24hrs and still not stable.
It seems to be back to normal now. (Fingers crossed)

They did an upgrade yesterday, and hit a problem.
The vendor was needed to help them out.

Quiet you will put a jinx on it.
I couldn’t get on for a few hours early this morning.
I noticed previously (after the update and restoration) that the forum was quite snappy, but I didn’t mention it for fear of jinxing it
